Im a little relieved. Id love his bat in the lineup, wasnt scared of reinjury but I was very very frightened of him fuckin up a key liner or flyball (especially in Wrigley's October Wind).

Yeah this is fine. I get that it's the World Series but it sounds like they are doing a mix of whats best for the team and whats best for Kyle. Will be nice to have his bat available at pretty much any point in the game the next 3 days.

I was a little scared of re-injury. But yeah, the idea of him playing the OF in the World Series, in the wind, after taking essentially no reps...it made me uneasy.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Kyle doesn't want to be in the field for Game 4 so Lacey can contribute to blowing out his knee again.

That's what I was concerned about too. If the gusts are approaching nearly 40 MPH tomorrow night, I'm a bit relieved that he wasn't cleared to play the OF.

Hopefully this just results in Soler getting a dong now.

Literally the two hottest sports takes I've ever seen have involved Schwarber. First the people saying in April the Cubs deserved to lose him for the season for "disrespecting the game" by putting him LF. Now, someone on WSI just said he doesn't deserve to be in the major leagues until he learns to play a position.

Well beyond the obvious fact that he plays 2 positions when healthy-including one of the most demanding, thats really rich coming from an AL team.

He is baseball Gronk ..just a loveable meathead

If anything, Schwarber is Bizarro-Gronk. His powers are equally formidable, but instead of using them to horsefeathers porn stars, he chose to excel in show choir.

Yeah, please don't compare Schwarber to Gronk -- that comparison is horrible. Schwarber has charisma and heart. Gronk is just a complete buffoon who reminds me of Rodman ...

Also, I really wish we had a DH in the NL right now. You're right Theo ... you're almost always right. We desperately need a DH in the NL (at least during the WS).

For as cool as it would be to continue to have Schwarbs mashing every time through the line up, I think forcing the Indians to play Santana in left combined with the advantage our pitchers have at the plate over theirs, I'll take the non-DH rules at home...for now at least.
