Guys, we've dreamt of having a lineup like this for years. I can't believe it's finally here.

What's great is its not far off from our "best case scenario" lineups that we'd predict from years ago and we still have the guys in the organization (Baez, Almora) who could eventually replace and out produce guys we didn't expect to be here (Zobrist, Fowler) this season or next.

I still can't believe that this is my team.

This is the part I still have trouble grasping, too. I can't believe that my team, the Cubs, has this lineup. What's even cooler is that seven out of the nine guys are going to be here for at least the next three years.

Amazing!

So how many things will I break around my house tonight due to the blackout?

I could be (probably am) wrong, but I don't think the ESPN blackouts are a thing on Opening Day.

I know I'm a dork and it doesn't really matter that much, but I really like that our order starts out S/L/S/L, and that its perfectly L/R all the way through. Edited by Bote McBoteface

I remember after the Cubs traded for Nomar in 2004, I thought "omg there is no weak spot in the order!"

And there really wasn't, but this lineup is like so much better.

That was such a fun lineup after July 31st. Shame they didn't make the crap shoot that year.

I'd rather have Castro in there as opposed to old man Zobrist, but it's still glorious to behold.

.296 OBP last year, .321 career, no thanks.

am i the only one who, while initially thinking the playoff rally towel thing was incredibly lame and sort of contrived, thought it was pretty awesome when it turned into like 25,000 little W flags after the playoff games?

i kinda want that to be a thing
