Ah FMnsbL

Have at it, folks

The problem is that you're giving the URL to the page. That won't work. You have to have the URL to that specific image. Right click the image and choose "Copy Image Address". Then paste that in the tags here.

Different for a phone?

Boy I've really outed myself for how unplugged I am.

I can't speak for apple.

There's several different ways to do it in Android, but usually you can tap and hold on an image and open it in a new tab. Then just copy the url from that new tab.

Or just don't.

The picture they use when talking about Pence is such a perfect encapsulation of him that it should be the only picture of him used ever.

Aptly, his body is held together by hot glue.

http://www.espn.com/blog/chicago/cubs/post/_/id/45013/is-this-what-were-doing-say-hello-to-the-cubs-new-celebration

(they've actually been doing this all year but still kind of funny)

Again, the cameras are catching the craze, and fans are starting to take notice. But there's a catch: The runner on first must acknowledge his teammates, or he will be harassed by them. Most are on board, but some -- such as the National League MVP -- are so locked into the game that they sometimes forget.

"They've been getting on me," Kris Bryant said with a smile. "I don't even know what we're doing. No one is telling me. There's no memo. All the other years, it was confirmed, like ‘This is what we're doing,' but this year, are we waving? Is everyone doing their own thing? It's like, OK, whatever. You wave at me. I'll wave back to you."

First-base coach Brandon Hyde has had to remind Bryant to wave while instructing him on what to do as a baserunner.

"I have to yell at him to do that," Hyde said. "They always do something different."

The superstar isn't alone in having to think about the practice. Albert Almora nearly forgot to acknowledge his teammates one time, but he made up for it quickly.

"I did everything," he said with a laugh. "I waved, wiggled my hands, stirred it up, whatever."

"I saw that," La Stella said. "I was laughing so hard."

It's those moments when a player adds a new wrinkle that have Bryant still trying to figure out the expectations.

"That's where I'm a little confused," Bryant said. "I see people doing other things, and I'm like, 'Is that what we're doing?'

"We should have a team meeting on that. Are we waving or what? For singles, are we waving? What about doubles? When I get on first, I'm just happy I got to first. Now I have to worry about waving and thinking about all this stuff. We'll nail it down soon. It's crunch time."

Addison Russell empathizes with Bryant.

"You get so caught up in the moment, and you're just ready to go, go, go," he said. "I could see why teammates give him some crap, but it's all in good fun."

It is all in good fun, and whether it's a wave or something more, everyone is getting on board.

"[ben] Zobrist has his own thing," Russell said. "It's cool, the different things guys do when they get on base."

A gesture that started with Zobrist, in which he puts out his hand and extends it forward in a thrusting manner, has spread to teammates who want to add a message about Chicago's mission to the fun of celebrating.

It's the force choke, right?

Does Willson have his own thread yet? I would create one but I can't think of a clever title for it.

Anyways, in the last month Willson has hit like a superstar.

From June 16 to July 16: .356/.411/.690/1.101, 8 2B, 7 HR

Yes his BABIP is .393 over that stretch but IDGAF. After a really slow start, Willson's season numbers are pretty damn close to last year's stellar rookie year in roughly the same number of PA.

Just under a 20% K rate in that stretch too. Even when the BABIP comes down, if he can hit for pop like that with a shaved down K rate then he's gonna be really good.

career, as C:

121G, 405 AB (449 PA), 52 R, 22 HR, 71 RBI, .289/.350/.516, 4.5 fWAR

i just saw this at the brewerfan.net

One hot streak shouldn't overshadow how mediocre the Cubs have been all year. Just as an unlucky losing streak shouldn't overshadow how good the Brewers have been.

Cubs haven't been hitting all year and Quintana won't fix that. Sure they will be tougher to hit against because of him, but that still wont make up for their other issues.

I'm all for the Gray trade. It's not like he would be a rental. There is both short-term and long-term value to him.

The Cubs, who are 1.5 games worse and have a +27 run differential, have been mediocre (not exactly wrong), but the Brewers, who are 1.5 games better and have a +42 RD (in 3 more games, FWIW), have been very good.

(Cubs with .563 3rd order winning percentage to Brewers .496 btw)

perspective is a funny thing i guess

speaking of run differentials, holy crap i had no idea the diamondbacks were at +100

and 11.5 games out of first. 10 years ago they won a division and got to the nlcs with a negative RD.

I would not be surprised if at the end of the season the Brewers finish 3rd or even 4th in the Central.

That Brewers series at the end of the month is gonna be critical, studies show

to whether they finish in 3rd or 4th?

Why are we interested in Lucroy? That's a weird thing to me, unless they really don't think Caratini is a suitable backup. But why upgrade a position for maybe half a win? And that half a win only exists if you believe the projection and knock down the playing time.

My only guess is that he might cost next-to-nothing. It doesn't sound like they are too happy with him or that he's too happy there. If there were a bidding war, I'd "nope" the hell out of it. But, they are definitely ready for a split. So it's probably worth looking into.
