As someone who lived on a golf course between caddying/playing probably 500 rounds a year for nearly all my youth, I have never seen anything like the way he finishes his putting stroke. It's like he's trying to put top spin on the ball. Also, he hits several of those putts so far off flush it's amazing. One of them is is a solid 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch towards the toe of the putter.

i love that his shoulders are completely still and he breaks his wrist immediately lol. that's a self taught putting stance if i've ever seen one

This is Rory’s year to win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam. Two shot lead heading into Sunday and paired with DeChambeau should make for an exciting final round.

Some amazing golf yesterday. This pairing should be fun. Especially while Rory ignores the crowd and DeChambeau makes sure he touches hands with every person in the crowd. I still hope Rory wins.

Rory is the crowd favorite, so I hope he gets off to a hot start and leans into them. But I think he might block all that out for as long as he can.

Poor Rory. Just can’t seem to get it done, though he still could today. But not going to get a much better chance than a short putt to win.

18 made the playoff win even cooler. That was fun to watch.

At the end of the 2015 season, Rory was 26 with 4 majors and 6 other top-10. Jordan Speith was 22 and coming off a year where he went 1-1-4-2 in the majors and then finished T2 at the Masters the next year. Those two have won two majors since. Rory's been much closer (21 top-10's before today in 10 years) than Speith (7 top 10's in the last 7 years) but man it seemed like those two were going to dominate golf for a decade. No idea what happened to Speith since I only pay attention to the majors.

Most recently for Speith is wrist surgery.  But he went through some swing changes chasing distance as most have which really seemed to affect his wizardry around and on the greens

Chased distance, couldn’t drive it on the map for a while, had an incredible hot putting stretch in 2015 that can’t be reduplicated, has been injured, and golf is just hard

Long way to go but it would be funny if Rory waited so long for that first Masters last year and then won it again.
