Yeah, created plenty of chances, just couldn’t score. That never should have even gone to PKs. And even then if Rapinoe or Smith score they move on anyway.

At least in contrast to the previous games against the Netherlands and Portugal, the USWNT was the dominant team in the game, just couldn't finish. Desperately needed Swanson out there.

Shame, but Rapinoe and Morgan did as much to help the USWNT this World Cup as Carli Lloyed did from the booth.

Well I didn't bother to stay up and watch it, but that sucks.  It's nice that it sounds like they outplayed Sweden but obviously the end result was elimination from the tournament at the earliest point ever.

the us women were very good this year, just not as good as usual. the old players were a little too old, the young players were a little too young, too inexperienced. the coach was terrible the whole tournament. And they still allowed what, 1 goal in the run of play? And dominated third-ranked sweden and just lost due to bad PKs and a lack of finishing. they'll be fine and it's a good thing overall that the world is catching up and it's not just a cakewalk.

Gabriel Slonina loaned out by Chelsea to KAS Eupen - the only team from the German speaking part of Belgium in the top flight.

He's guaranteed to get a good goalkeeping workload at the Kehrweg, as they are more likely to fight against relegation than for European spots.

I'll keep you guys updated on his performances 😉

Maybe there's a secret clause in the contracts of Leeds defensive midfielders that obligates them to be sold to mega clubs to languish on the bench.  Chelsea's still hot after Caicedo too, on top of being a picture of dysfunction and Adams not being a particularly clean fit for Pocchetino ball.

I’m against the move because Chelsea are a badly run organization, but I have no issues with him taking a huge pay raise to play for a glamour club in London. I actually could see him there for a long time, getting reasonable minutes. He won’t be a starter but similar to Mikel Obi, he’ll serve a distinct purpose as the defensive specialist and depth guy. 
 

I’m fine with it. I just don’t want to watch.
