This also happened to be the first weekend my 5yo really got into watching the games. After the win tonight, his only question was " Is watching USA soccer always this fun?"

 

My response was " It might be."

I can’t ever remember the team looking as fun as it’s looked the last 2 games. So many “woah” moments from the US attack. 
 

Not to take too much from 2 games but this generation’s ceiling seems higher than I expected and it was already relatively high

I don't think any coach should ever just stick with status quo . . .

Sure but let’s not act like it’s an easy call as to who gets benched for a Gio (it’s Tyler).

 

Tough to bench your extremely consistent and effective team captain, but the ball moves backwards way too much when he’s in compared to Yunus in that role, who can shuttle/dribble to gain huge chunks of field position when Tyler would typically back pass to a CB.

 

 That said, we would need all 4 to be healthy at the same time to even have a choice.

I agree on Tyler and also that you need numerous mids to win a tournament.

i mean, I think he’s good enough, but Juve must really believe Lille isn’t getting near his best to have interest because that is unexpected.

I would assume that's with the intention of making him the new Cuadrado, which is I guess better at Juve than it is at Lille since Juve are so ball dominant that he'll be playing high up the field more than some wingers at lesser clubs do.

is it moving to summer? at some point, players are going to have to insist on contracts limiting the number of games they have to play. it's the only way to protect themselves

The ESPN article I read aays it will take place June and July in 2025.

I know this is Jamaica's A team with Premier League attackers vs. the US B team but way too many bad turnovers and dangerous chances given up by US tonight.  Not to mention the standard difficulty finishing

I'd be thrilled to equalize and walk out of here with a draw at this point
