The longest current MLB win streak is 7 games by none other than the Oakland A’s. Did it against Pit, Mil and TB too so it’s not like it was against awful teams.

The A’s could win every game the rest of the year and they’d still have one less win than the Dodgers last year.

KInda of a dumb thought that just popped in my head, but I thought I'd share.  I've actually have thought about this in the past several times.

I know it's "tradition" and MLB is the oldest of all the major sports leagues, but is there any reason managers and coaches still wear the baseball uniform during games?  None of the other sports leagues do this, nor do I think they ever have.  I know coaching staffs have altered this a bit over the years by sometimes wearing the pullover/workout jersey, etc.  Just seems like this would've maybe faded out over the years.

A lot of managers don't bother anymore. I know Ross often does not unless it's the City Connect uniforms, which he's on record as liking.

Your post reminded me of Oliver Marmol wearing his full uniform after STL writer Rick Hummel died - Hummel often grumbled to Marmol about managers not wearing uniforms anymore.

Tampa has lost 6 straight (but still has a 3.5 game lead in the division)

They held Atlanta to two hits tonight and lost 2-0 (whoopsy)

How is it that the MLB schedule makers decided to give the Dodgers and Angels a day off tomorrow (Sunday), thus giving them each an extra day off for the All-Star break???
