Guys, this may surprise you, but it turns out that Trevor Bauer is a fragile manbaby:

Ideally Baez was just confused that this stranger who apparently wandered into the baseball clinic kept insisting on reading tweets out loud like a totally normal person who is super confident and not at all insecure and creepy.

Man, Brandon McCarthy is the man. One of my good friends graduated from HS with him. Knowing the area that he grew up in, the rich part of Colorado Springs, its doubly impressive how cool he is. I guess its where he got his sh1t talk chops from.

I don't know what his post playing career plans are but he seems like he'd be an awesome addition to an organization in either some sort of coaching or FO role.

Edit: a quick google shows he's already a special assistant to the GM for the Rangers

I don't see any that really stand out too much. I'd probably hit the under on the Twins and Rockies. Over on the Braves and Nats?

Under on the Brewers.

Yup. Rays, Dodgers (because the division sucks), Braves (though seems trap level low) and Nats over, Tigers, Royals, and D’backs unders jump out to me as well.

I definitely agree with that, but didn't say it because some people around here get very sore about the whole dismissing the Brewers thing.

Then they can bet up the over so I can take Brewers under 85.

UPDATE: Trevor Bauer clearly got his ass slapped by his bosses over going after a teenager for days via Twitter; unleashes hilariously and patently untrue apology....TO THE WORLD:

The headline for Deadspin's update article is maybe the best thing they've ever done:

Is this the tweet that finally necessitates a dedicated Grant Brisbee appreciation thread? I think it might be.

So if Kyler Murray enters the NFL draft, gets picked and signs with an NFL team, do the A's get a comp pick as if he didn't sign?

I believe he forfeits the money but the A's don't get any picks or anything.

No, but the NFL team that drafts him will forever be mocked for taking a 5'10" QB
