Sanders to the development list is interesting. Getting him conditioned for relief work, maybe? Aboot that time

More likely mechanical work to get more strikes

Two-plus months after a freak injury, Ed Howard is walking again and scheduled to report to the team’s Arizona complex next week to begin a more formal rehab process. Howard, the 2020 first-round pick out of Chicago’s Mount Carmel High School, required season-ending surgery on his left hip after an awkward play during a May 10 game at South Bend, tumbling on a sprint to first base and an attempt to avoid the tag off a wild throw.

Luke Little is the only one left from MB’s prospect-laden opening day rotation:

luke little strikes me as a guy who, as long as he stays healthy, is highly likely to pitch in the major leagues. he's got big-time fastball velocity coming from a tall frame, and the strikeout rate and batting average against are elite. even if his command doesn't improve he should at least be a fastball-slider setup man or closer.

Yeah, I think he’s a reliever in the big leagues. He just doesn’t seem athletic enough to repeat his delivery and command his stuff for a full start. He needs all the innings he can get now but when they decide to move him to the bullpen, I think he’ll move fast.

Oh that's great news. I was kind of assuming the worst and figured we'd see him again over the offseason.

He seemed to be MLB ready right around this time last year, but his injury scuttled that and then he's been up and down much of this year. Would be nice if he's back at 100% to get him up to the big club soon and see if he's a guy we can pencil into next year's pen.
