Any Bryan Hudson updates?

I don't have any scouting/first hand accounts, but he's been very good. Between Hughes and Hudson(who both have been hard on both RHH and LHH), plus some lesser likelihood options that could break through(Little, Newcomb, Wieck), I'm hopeful they won't need to bring in next year's version of Norris to ensure there's enough LHP representation in the pen

Thanks for the info.

Of course he's struggled since I mentioned him with three poor performances in July. Anyway, he's still doing OK over all. It would be nice if he made to Chicago this year. There's already been a lot of shuffling with the Pitchers on the 40-man roster and I imagine that'll continue, so there will be opportunities.

Excellent. Let him start every day at 1B at the expense of Jared Young and Nelson Maldonado. Those 2 have been pretty terrible since mid-April. I'm over Rivas as well, if he gets demoted again. Mervis deserves some run.

Woah woah woah Amaya is going to get some catching in this season?! I had him chalked up as a DH until at least winter ball, maybe even spring training.

With how horrible the year has been for the big club, it's been a pretty good year so far in the minors. The needle is definitely pointing in the right direction for the organization.

When is the ETA for Drew Grey to pitch again? Mid season next year?

He’s already resumed throwing off flat ground. Wouldn’t be at all shocked if he gets some pitching in at fall instructs in 3-4 months

Ohh, not park adjusted. Myrtle Beach is a pitcher-friendly ballpark.

SB too right, or is that just early in the year when it's cold? I think only Iowa is especially hitter friendly, and even it's not crazy like Colorado Springs or some of the former Cal League parks

I think SB (and most of the MWL) is because of the cold.

Colorado Springs no longer has an affiliate. Sky Sox moved to San Antonio. Just an independant league team, the Rocky Mountain Vibes. The Rockies' AAA team is the Isotopes now, and they do play at 5100 ft, so I'm sure it's almost as hitter friendly.

I would love to have age overlaid on this somehow too, or maybe filter out guys more than one year older than each minor league level's respective median.

My guess is that the more context you layer on the better the offensive side of this chart would look for the Cubs. Conversely if you weight performance by prospectiness the Cubs would start sliding more towards middle of the pack on the pitching end.
