Most of this team was the same group that would've probably made the Finals last year if not for a Game 4 meltdown against Cleveland. Nice job, GarPax.

I guess that's one way to describe losing to a gimpy short handed Cleveland team in the second round.

Never said last year's Bulls were great, but that 'gimpy short-handed Cleveland team' destroyed Atlanta in the ECF, so it's not a huge leap for me that the Bulls could've beaten them.

Then they would have been the team that lost the Finals instead and you'd just be even more bummed out.

THE SADNESS COULD BE WORSE.

The Bulls haven't been legitimate title threats for 18 years. More than half of our lives. There's been some fool's gold along the way and last year was definitely that.

Come on we were legit contenders in 10-11 and 11-12.

GSW would've absolutely defenestrated last year's Bulls. Of course they weren't a title threat. I never said they were.

I am with UMF though that the 2011 Bulls were legitimate contenders, and 2012 was too prior to Rose breaking.

Sure would be nice if tonight's Bulls could stick around without someone being felled by some kind of health catastrophe.

Also just realized this is the last post before mine, 9 days ago. Since then we've been treated to another Rose injury, Pau out at least a few games with knee injury and Dunleavy with a stomach virus

Apparently this is Rose's first dunk of the SEASON? I've barely watched the Bulls this season and found that incredible...

he either can't or it's another example of how much of a horsefeathering weirdo he is because he's almost made a point of not doing it. at some point he said he thought he was dunking too much which was what caused his knee injuries. except wasn't his whole excuse for not coming back from the first injury soon enough that he wanted to be able to dunk off either leg or something like that?

If I remember correctly, he was able to dunk off either leg and still wasn't playing after the first injury and that's what the controversy was.

No. It was that he was cleared by doctors and still refused to play because God hadn't told him he was ready yet. And because he couldn't dunk off either of both legs yet.

Well, I'm not stunned I was wrong on that. I think I've blocked out a good portion of the Rose soap opera.
