Yeah we got good contact off him in Game 1 and Lester is our second best pitcher. The challenge is to get through the Hendricks/Hammel starts and still be competitive in the series.

I think the biggest key to a successful bullpen game is having Travis Wood fresh enough to go multiple innings. If Hendricks can go 6 that gives us a good chance to keep Wood fresh with either a short outing or fully rested (going straight to Cahill/Grimm etc). To that point, a big lead by the offense where we can lean more on the likes of Rodney or Richard would be good as well. Basically anyway we can make a Tuesday win as stress free as possible.

Wind blowing straight out the next two nights. I think that levels the pitching matchups a bit when you need all the help you can get.

 

Hendricks is in the Top 20 getting ground balls, so hopefully that trend continues.
