Schwarber 1 still first, just inches ahead of Schwarber 3, but I'm sorely tempted to put Javy 2nd. That was so unexpected and so [expletive] awesome considering everything Javy had dealt with the last 14 months, and on a really good pitch. It just made me so happy

Watching the two Schwarber shots, I just sat back, grinning smugly at the TV. Baez's had me jumping up and down, mostly because of the timing and the unexpectedness.

Yep. I was jumping up and down, yelling, "Javy!" over and over again, deliriously.

I think I rank them:

1. Schwarber @ Pitt

Just the nonchalant flip, coupled with it being an elimination game against a damn good team... bliss. I think everyone watching knew we'd won the game as soon as the ball was out.

2. Baez (gm 4)

Had a really bad feeling about the game after Lackey killed us in gm 1, and was pretty deflated after the top of the first. Hammel's hit immediately brought back memories of the Wood dong in 2003 (amazing, but ultimately irrelevant) and I was still processing the weird emotions swirling about when Javy hit his out. Easily the most I've celebrated any single action thus far in 2015.

3. Schwarber (gm 4)

The finishing touch on a glorious series. I hope the ball stays up there for another hundred years.

Schwarber dong was as swaggy a dong as you're gonna see, fellas. If he'd dropped the bat cleanly, it would've jumped up and flipped itself.

Soler ruining the soul of Wainwright is a close second. If he'd had the foresight to jog to the mound first and place his enormous gold chain on Wainwright's still steaming corpse, it might have gotten a leg up on Schwarbs'.

This may supplant the malfunctioning robot as my favorite post in the history of NSBB.

I'm not sure if it's the best, but the Baez HR was the moment where I felt the Cubs were going to win the series for sure.

The thing I loved about Baez was all the talk of him losing power, being a defensive guy, watching all the studs power out, and low and behold, BAEZ IS ALIVE. And it came after the Cardinals led.

But hey, Schwarbs were pretty awesome too

This picture is awesome because you can see how stunned everyone in the crowd is by Schwarber's epic dong power. Everyone's mouths are in little "Os" as they try to comprehend what they have just seen.

The only way that home run would have been better is if Soler threw his gold chain from the dugout around Schwarber's neck like he was playing horseshoes. That way we could have gotten a little chain swang while Schwarbs trotted around the bases.

i want to see a majestic dong like that in real life, i can't even imagine being emotionally invested in something and then watching a dude rip one off like that.

I have a Card fan friend that I'm going to eventually ask "which Cubs HR crushed you the most?"

But he's actually a good friend, so I'm going to give him some time to grieve.

I have one of those too. I'll probably wait until next season to start giving him crap about this series.

Workers retrieved the ball Wednesday morning to make sure it is the real deal.

It is, according to Cubs’ spokesman Julian Green.

The ball will be placed in protective Plexiglas, and maintenance crews will return the ball to its original resting place, at least for the remainder of the playoffs.

That's the best thing ever

not that we could see it (thanks for nothing, tbs), but I like to think that in lieu of a bat flip, Kyle just kinda dragged the lifeless bat behind him all the way to first. like he just strangled the life out of it and to symbolize the aftereffect that homer had on the souls of those bastards
