I'd like to thank Christopher Columbus' genocidal ways for allowing me to not have to take PTO on Monday.

Does Garcia come back for game 4?

I'm not sure Matheny even knows the answer to that and he might not decide until after Game 3.

Lynn throwing 24 pitches isn't going to prevent him from starting Game 4, especially if Matheny has a short leash on him like he did with Garcia today. So his options would seem to be piggybacking Garcia and Lynn or throwing Lackey on short rest. I imagine he'll determine that by where they are in the series. Up 2-1, he probably starts Garcia/Lynn. down 2-1, he might go Lackey.

Guys...I can either go to Monday or Tuesday's game...do I go Monday for Arrieta, or Tuesday for a close out game?

I'd go Monday, the atmosphere is going to be incredible and it's a huge swing game

Dammit, I hate to agree with him, but....

I think you guys are right. Plus I've barely gotten to see Jake this year.

Dong them into submission. This thing isn't getting back to St. Louis.

There's no reason it should. We've kicked the asses of both their pitchers in these games and in one we have the guy having the greatest stretch in the history of the sport. I expect to win this series at Wrigley. And it will be [expletive] glorious.

So you're saying I should go Tuesday?

If I were you I would probably go Tuesday. But Monday is going to be fun as [expletive]. No loser in that decision.

Go Monday and Tuesday.

If we win one more we've won 100 baseball games including post season (obviously) By my count this hasn't happened since 1945.

David, go Monday. It might as well be the close-out game, because Jake will completely plunder the Cardinals' wills to live. Arrieta will so dominate them that their spirits will be completely abandoned. After a complete game shutout from Jake, Game 4 will be nothing more than obligatory. Our close-out win will be de rigueur. The Cardinals will be playing that game posthumously. Go to Game 3 and watch Jake dominate. You will want to be able to say that you watched him shut down the Cards and witness a symbolic changing of the guard.
