No reason why Forte couldn't put his shoulder down and run right over someone for 1/2 a yard. Also, why the [expletive] wouldn't offsides on 3rd and 3 be an automatic first down? It is anywhere else on the field, but since it's half the distance inside the 10....the Bears get screwed for making the defense jump offside.

Jay out for the game with a hamstring injury. LOL. I'm calling [expletive].

huh? you think it's a fake injury or something?

edit:

oh like its not actually his hamstring? that i could see.

Kyle Long is terrible at tackle. Ducasse may be the worst lineman in the league. 4 false starts, 3 holds, 2 sacks allowed thru 7 quarters. Bushrod isn't very good either.

Antrelle Rolle giving Larry Fitzgerald a hug on the field seconds after scoring on the Bears for the third time. You're getting the [expletive] kicked out of you and completely embarrassed, you think you could save that [expletive] for after the game.

5 page game thread in week 2. Apathy.

i mean this is a cubs board and the cubs are really good and playing a relatively big game at the same time

Couldn't watch this game but based on the PBP it looks like the defense is as bad as last year, special teams is still a disaster and the offense has improved a tiny bit when you consider the output is similar to last year despite a number of injuries I guess.

Doesn't change my opinion of the staff long term. It just means we don't have a lot of talent and the players we do have have a long way to go

Without Cutler, would the Bears be favored in any game this season? Yeesh, Clausen is horrific.

What a shitty game to go to. Left at the end of the 3rd quarter but made it to the bar to watch the end of the Cubs game. Other than the Oakland game I really don't see any game in the next four or five that the Bears have even a decent chance of winning if Cutler is out for the next month or so.

Thank goodness I had the distraction of manning a grill yesterday.

Took my first trip over to WF for the 2016 mock draft. :(

I love how in the preseason it seemed like the fan base was expecting a poor year and was accepting of a rebuilding season or so, etc.

After 2 weeks the fans are calling into shows and talking about what a mess the Bears are and how its inexcusible, etc.

The way you phrase that suggests people are wrong to be upset.

It's stupid to be accepting of a rebuilding season and then go all cubbievirus after 2 weeks when the Bears couldn't beat 2 of the best teams in football, one a close game and the other without their starting QB for half the game. If you are ok with a rebuilding year, understand that they are going to be terrible at times and expect/hope that they improve over 17 weeks.

you realize, though, that these aren't necessarily (and probably aren't) the same people, right?

you take large masses of people and every opinion imaginable will be had by someone.

Maybe you should consider the idea that those people you heard from in preseason that were all accepting of a rebuild season are not necessarily the same people who are upset about how bad the team looks.

Generally speaking, it's stupid to criticize fans for being upset with a bad team. Very few people just accept horribleness.
