The last time I felt nearly as negative about a season opener was in 2008 when opening up Lucas Oil Stadium.

This game....will not go as well

i'm gonna wait until i see who is actually playing before i decide if we have any upset potential. if our entire WR corps is good (sans white obviously) and goldman and whoever else had been dinged up is ok...maybe?

or i can just blindly hang my hat on fangio being undefeated vs. rodgers

or maybe langford can somehow pull a 2008 lucas oil forte

only problem is that would probably mean something bad happened with 2015 forte

Means nothing, but the Bears allowed the least points in the NFL preseason with 42 (10.5 per), including not allowing a point in the 2nd half in any of their 4 games.

I bet Rodgers carves up that secondary.

Yes, that would be exactly what "means nothing" means.

if we were actually fully healthy, i think our corners would be what i hate most on this team

I will hopefully be in Philly to watch the Cubs.

Frontier had $15 one way flights to Philly and some other cities on the 2nd. I almost pulled the trigger.

i've been debating whether or not i'd want to subject myself to being an away fan for the game in pittsburgh (if it's in pittsburgh)

could be amazing or could be one of the worst nights ever

obviously, it'll be that already, just tenfold

7 point home underdogs! I wonder when was the last time that happened? 2003ish?

Packers 31 Bears 10

only 7 points? that's the [expletive] easiest money you ever made, boys.

How many TDs does that Janis guy get? 3 or 4? If 2, one is going to be a spectacular leaping grab while his pants fall off.

I think the Bears actually get some pass rush going in this one. But unless Rodgers dies from another Shea McClellin hit, they'll put up at least 5 TDs. I don't like the CBs against Cobb. I think they attack McClellin and the safeties in coverage the way Cincinnati did last week. And there's no way the Bears OL can even slow down Peppers, Matthews, and Daniels.
