I really hope the Cubs don't trade Baez. I get there's risk there, but the talent level... To be able to generate that bat speed, and a guy who can probably be a Gold-Glove 3B or 2B, and above-average SS, and steal 25 bases. He's 22 years old, for crying out loud. He may still bust, but based on talent I think he has a chance to be the best of all of them.

I think it's the one you can best point to and say Javy Baez will make it. 2 singles, neither pulled, a bases-loaded walk on a tough 3-2 pitch, and a bomb. It's definitely nice to see.

Just realized Cards and Pitts are playing each starting tonight. No way were taking the division so I guess rooting for those [expletive] Cards so we can catch up on PIT since theyre 4 games up only on us

Am I the only one that would rather us get STL in a 1-gamer than flip the home field of a coin-flip game? Or is my abject hatred for STL clouding my judgment here?

I like how Javy is crowding the plate now compared to before where he was standing way off of it. Way more coverage now and has the power to make things happen even if pitched inside. Before they would just pound the outside corner on him and he would K or it would just be a popup. I'm liking the new batting stance and approach.
