Meatball manager rule book says you can't get a save at home tied after the 8th, so it's ok to pitch your closer right away. On the road you wait until you have a lead to save or you lose with your worst pitcher on the mound

Yeah. Semis. That save ended up not mattering because Ziegler got one later but it could have cost me.

 

I was tied 6-6 in categories and the other guy had the tiebreaker because he won both regular season matchups. I ended up tying him in steals when Polanco stole second in the seventh inning tonight which gave me a 6-5 win.

Not gonna happen but Giants are 6 games behind the Dodgers with 7 to play. But the next 4 games for both teams are against each other in SF. Would make things super interesting if the Giants swept. Any Dodger win clinches the division. Yes I know unlikely but I'll be cheering for the Giants this week to do the impossible

Yup. He'll be pitching out the pen. Cardinals beat writer said he may be used as early as Wednesday

I get that Wainwright is hyper-competitive but it seems a bit unnecessary to bring him back this year. Rushing back to throw a handful of innings out of the pen seems to pale in comparison to making sure that he's as healthy as he can be for the rest of his deal(3/58).

Dodgers lose to the Giants in 12 innings tonight. Mattingly used 7 relief pitchers, 6 of which were in the 9th inning or later. Not one of them was Kenley Jansen, who hasn't pitched since Thursday.
