I think the amount of butthurt here is even more amazing:

http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=94236&st=1575

This was my favorite:

Indians tie it up off Lester in the 9th, all but guaranteeing a Rizzo or Bryant walkoff here off Zach McAllister
If/when the Cubs win it all, it's going to take away a lot of the passion I have for baseball. Right now, really the only two things I care about during a season are the Sox winning and Cubs not winning. If the Cubs win it all, I can't even picture myself following the NL anymore. The Sox winning it in 2005 took away a significant amount of my worries of Cubs winning WS/Sox not winning WS during my life. I wouldn't mind not having to deal with the Cubs winning a WS though, as I think it would be a very bad day for the Sox organization in terms of future fans.

They're all so weird. When I was a kid, the White Sox were my 2nd favorite team until I went to a game and got creeped out by how obsessed they were with the Cubs.

if the white sox hadn't suddenly stopped being really good right when i decided to watch sports (and baseball - when the cubs were in the wild card chase all year in 95), i would probably be a white sox fan today

when i didn't care for sports i said i liked the white sox and i had a hat.

Harold Reynolds just said the NL Central leaders aren't 3 of the 4 best teams in baseball like their record indicates because all 3 teams have been beating up on weak teams. Wtf?

I saw that as well. Pedro Martinez and his broken English is more comprehensible than Reynolds

So who does he think has been beating up on good teams?

The teams that he thinks are better than the Cubs and Pirates but failed to mention specifically or even vaguely

There was a ridiculous stat last week some time that said the Cubs, Cards, and Pirates were 38-10 in their last 16 games each and 33-5 in games they hadn't played each other.

Reynolds must think the Cubs need to go 7-0 vs the Mets, 4-0 vs the Giants, 4-3 vs the Nats, 7-5 vs Pitt, 2-2 vs LA, and 1-1 vs the Royals to prove our worth.

The Cardinals are the main good team we've been bad against, besides losing 2 of 3 to Arizona who's been decent.

They're on 105 pages about the Cubs… JUST THIS SEASON'S TEAM! The hate/obsession is amazing.

Note, obsessing about the White Sox fans obsessing about the Cubs isn't notably different.

I mean we do it about the Cardinals but they actually have an impact on us. I literally don't care at all what the White Sox do outside of 6 stupid games.

this seems ilke it can't possibly be true....395 to right center (more right than center) only gets you out of 2 parks in all of MLB?

IIRC, they said 375 on the telecast, which would make more sense.

The wind was blowing out like what 19 mph? lets be honest. the homer today was great. the energy is amazing with this team. im big on energy, the kind that you cant see but you can feel. but the wind has helped alot lately which was not the case earlier in the season.. if you look at the espn stat again they somehow took wind into account as a factor. it doesn't matter today because the cubs won. that same hit in many parks was a flyout.

Ummm….. unless it was just one freakish gust of wind that developed as Bryant's ball went into the air, I believe the wind was also blowing out all day long for the Indians, too. We got a batter who was able to put it up into the wind, they didn't. Though I'm sure several tried.
