Yay. My favorite game of the year! Everyone contributed (for the most part), Castro/Soler with big hits/ABs. Arrieta arrieting.

 

I can't possibly give that title to anything but the massacre in Cleveland. Schwarber game is second.

 

"importance" of this one does give it a little more boost than it otherwise would have, tho

 

Nah, this is more realistic and representative of what this team can do. They aren't going to put up 17 again. Not too many guys are going to have signature games to win in dramatic fashion. But this is a game that could realistically happen several more times, including in the playoffs.

Not yet. They said on the broadcast tonight that even tho both teams have Sept. 14th off (a logical date for the makeup) and then start a 3 game series in Pitt on the 15th that would result in Pitt playing 30 or more games in a row and that the league/MLBPA would have to approve and Pirates players would have to vote on it for the 14th to happen. Sounds like a DH may be more likely.
