What happened on the Rizzo fielders choice? I missed the play but it sounds like it was basically a single that wasn't because the runner got forced out at 3rd so it was a fielders choice. So basically Rizzo was 5 for 5 unofficially

Rizzo hit a soft/looping liner to LF and looked like Marte could make a catch so Denorfia could only go half way at best. It ended up dropping in and Marte had a relatively easy throw to 3B to force him out as he played it off a hop.

2nd and 3rd, one out, he blooped one into left. Denorfia, who was on 2nd, had to wait and see if Marte was going to catch it and then couldn't make it to 3rd. It was a tough read and Marte usually catches everything so hard to blame him.

 

And re: soccer10k's post above: at least almost every single one of our hits tonight was a line drive bullet and not a BS 25 hopper down the line that results in a bases clearing triple.
