ballsy bat flip attempt on the 3-2 borderline pitch by dex

I'm sure there's nothing to back this up but I've always felt like that makes an ump far more likely to call a strike just to send a message

Richard now has better peripherals than Haren.

 

either old wiley guiley haren is a peripherals defying magician or he sucks

 

i'm really hoping it's the former and he can keep up his actual results because he isn't really allowing baserunners

It seems like it's because if you hit him hard it goes over the fence. He has given up 85 hits that aren't HR in 129 IP. For comparison, Arrieta has 100 non-HR hits in 140 IP. His hard hit % also ranks 17th best of 92 qualified starters

so I wonder how Votto managed to get tossed when he wasnt even in the game

haven't seen the game. but i'm assuming it's from the bench clearing that was mentioned earlier.
