Chinese food in Chicago is mostly a shocking abomination for a city of that size (in both scale and fatness); while I was there I only found two places who would deliver to me or I could get to that consistently were at least OK:

This place was mostly junk but it was at least edible junk, and their noodles were good as hell:

This place is [expletive] amazing; it's been there for decades, it has the vibe of a sleazy Chinese mafia lounge, and the food is awesome. Sadly, it's kinda pricey, but worth trying:

I've had Dee's before and it is not bad at all.

btw I love going to Chinatown now and then for closer to authentic stuff but right now i'm just talking about standard greasy american chinese takeout spots

Me too; Chicago mostly [expletive] sucks at it. Lots of good Thai options, though.

the best place for handmade noodles and dumplings in NYC chinatown:

they used to sell 12 dumplings (fried or boiled) for $3. 10 for $3.50 these days, but my god...

Chi Tung is like the only place of any notoriety in the area I grew up.

And I'm not talking just Chinese restaurants. It's really [expletive] good though.

I just put it down to as low a standard as "don't [expletive] up General Tso's." That should be the bare minimum of shitty Chinese food. But place after place that I tried in Chicago would [expletive] it up; way too breaded, way too chewy, not spicy at all, sauce that looked and tasted like it came out of a bunch of smashed sweet & sour packets.

How can you [expletive] up General Tso's? It's like they even knew they were terrible at it, too, and half the time it would be called something like "the general's chicken" or "General Tsang's." THAT'S THE WRONG FAKE GENERAL, YOU MONSTERS.

If they don't win tonight it has to be Indian for tomorrow.

I predict that Soler and the bullpen both suck and we lose horribly, or basically a repeat of every game this season.

Tiny, 19 PA-sample size, but here is Soler over the last week:

DON'T LOOK AT HIS BABIP.
