Dexter Fowler ‏@DexterFowler 2m2 minutes ago

Never in my life have I made the All Star Ballot update. Just to see my name on that list today is a blessing! #humbleappreciation

all the second places are a nice story but none of our guys have any shot at passing the leader barring weirdness

Some of those leaders are Cardinals and can die at any time between now and the final vote.

Castro might have the best shot.

3B in the NL is unbelievable. I can't fathom Nolan Arenado not making the ASG with a .919OPS, .387wOBA to go along with 13HR. I'm similarly shocked that Joc is 10th in outfielder votes despite a .949OPS, .402woBA, and 15HRs. He's on pace for nearly a 7fWAR season and I don't even know if he's going to get a vote in option.

I think it's a name recognition thing with both those guys

The order is slightly off, but Arenado is technically 4th in the NL in 3B fWAR.

Related: Today I learned Todd Frazier is tied with Goldschmidt for 2nd in the NL in fWAR.

Not sure whether to shake my head at the Royals fan(s) responsible for this or applaud them for highlighting the insanity of the process. Alex Rios has played in 13 games and has a .662 OPS, and the only AL outfielders with more votes are his teammates and Mike Trout. Perez, Escobar and Moustakas have more votes than the rest of the top 5 combined at their positions.

Looking at those leaders...the AL kinda sucks.

Ridiculous for a game that "matters" that fans get to decide who plays. I like the last player fan vote, and that's it. Potentially 8 Royals in the starting lineup? C'mon now

The AL voting is laughable and I love it.

Maybe it will force them to finally do something. Most of the starters are going to be Cardinals or Royals and it's going to piss off fans in NY/LA/Chicago, etc.

Even though the Royals just played the Cubs, I don't think I fully noticed how awful Infante has been this year. .496 OPS, yikes.

That's AL All-Star starter Omar Infante to you, bub.

Like even if you were a royals fan dedicated to getting as many in as possible, shouldn't you hate Infante enough to not follow through on voting for him?

Like I don't want to see David Ross playing in my teams games so I certainly dont want to see him representing the team in the all star game.
