Last night's #Cubs game (3.94 household avg; 8.0 peak) was also the highest-rated Cubs telecast on @CSNChicago in FOUR YEARS (6/20/11, 5.05)

niceeeeeeeeee

This reads like you're screaming.

Dunno what to tell you there, dude.

Just a pointless pet peeve; I'm assuming you'd be stretching out the "I" or the "sss" sounds as opposed to a shrieking "EEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

That's a hell of a pointless pet peeve (that's fun to say), although I will admit I definitely drag out the wrong letter.

SO FOR CLARITY'S SAKE:

Trying to decide if I should go to this game or not...I kind of just want to sit on my couch and watch on TV, but it's so hard to justify not using the tickets when they don't sell and I'm blocks away.

I can probably find a couple of people to go with, too...but I also kind of don't feel like doing all that.

[expletive] April games.

It's going to be like 55. What the [expletive] is wrong with you?

I mean...I just went last night and I'm planning on going Saturday and maybe Friday. Am I going to go every time the tickets don't sell? I guess that shouldn't be an issue much longer as the team does better and the weather improves, but with concessions and crap it would start to get expensive. The tickets are a sunk cost.

Also I like watching good pitching on TV.

I went last night too and hear you on the concessions -- just eat in advance. I decided to start doing it this season and it's been life-changing. Even if you don't wanna cook, you can get a full meal at the Halsted Whole Foods for under $10.

C'mon dude. Don't be "that guy" with season tickets you loathed while on the wait list.

Yeah, good call. I like eating bad ballpark food but that'll have to stop if I'm going this often.

I take it all back.

Former #Cubs pitcher Milt Pappas is booked to sing tonight's stretch. Feels like a good night to sing #GoCubsGo too.

Going on a win streak or run of 6 of 7 prior to the Bryant call-up would bring the hype to an extreme level. Just have to keep rolling tonight.

i keep getting super excited thinking about all of this playing out and then have to remind myself to stop

Yea, I feel like Theo would be more comfortable bringing up Bryant for a home game if we're on a good streak. It's also conceivable to me that Russell comes up at the same time as Bryant.

If the Cubs win tonight and the Cards lose again, it will be the first time the Cubs have a greater than 1-game lead in the standings since 2008. \:D/

Hell yes.

No way. Bryant will be up by 7 days from now. Russell won't be unless snakes devour all our current middle infield options.

Random tidbit: Cubs opponents thus far are 10-4 when not playing the Cubs.

I'll check back in later, I'm headed to the snake store now...

Is the whole hamstring issue something we still have to worry about like forever?
