We're on pace for 109 wins.

How could you possibly screw up that math.

Cubs record last 3 years on April 14: 3-6, 4-8, 4-8. It's traditionally been an awful month if you've watched during the rebuild years.

Trying to decide if I should go to this game or not...I kind of just want to sit on my couch and watch on TV, but it's so hard to justify not using the tickets when they don't sell and I'm blocks away.

I can probably find a couple of people to go with, too...but I also kind of don't feel like doing all that.

[expletive] April games.

It's going to be like 55. What the [expletive] is wrong with you?

I mean...I just went last night and I'm planning on going Saturday and maybe Friday. Am I going to go every time the tickets don't sell? I guess that shouldn't be an issue much longer as the team does better and the weather improves, but with concessions and crap it would start to get expensive. The tickets are a sunk cost.

Also I like watching good pitching on TV.

Yeah, I was excited to get a refund for my early season bleachers due to a lack of bleachers, but after last night, how are you not going tonight? I'd probably be buying tickets if I was in town.

I went last night too and hear you on the concessions -- just eat in advance. I decided to start doing it this season and it's been life-changing. Even if you don't wanna cook, you can get a full meal at the Halsted Whole Foods for under $10.

C'mon dude. Don't be "that guy" with season tickets you loathed while on the wait list.

OT: David, do you just use StubHub to sell? I haven't sold any yet, but looking it over, I either forgot how much they take off the top or they've raised their fees. It's convenient, but damn they gouge you.

Last night's #Cubs game (3.94 household avg; 8.0 peak) was also the highest-rated Cubs telecast on @CSNChicago in FOUR YEARS (6/20/11, 5.05)

They gouge the hell out of you but it's hard to beat the market they give you so I just deal with it.

These early season games I'm just trying to get anything for, but the hope is that a few weeks from now, I'll be able to cover a bit more of the cost.

Yeah, good call. I like eating bad ballpark food but that'll have to stop if I'm going this often.

You could offer them up to NSBBers for respect points.

Of course I move away from lakeview the year before the Cubs are exciting again. At least I got to enjoy going to a ton of games in 2008.

No problem doing this if I don't end up using them.

Might just do it for tomorrow.
