"his fingers might go farther than the ball"

does he mean like, they'd fly off his hands and into the field of play

Even Kruk doesn't know what Kruk means.

I hope some manager this year points that crap out with Walden.

That won't fly. You know STL is the only team allowed to accuse an opponent of cheating.

Since we're allowing pitchers to throw without their foot on the rubber now, Edwin Jackson should go into his windup, then run 10 feet toward home plate and let the ball fly.

He may be a useful pitcher after all.

i am excited for the cardinals' next reliever, which will just be a guy who starts his windup and then walks forty feet towards home plate before throwing the pitch

Letting them continue to use an illegal delivery is the right way to play the game. Full of honor and stuff.

We'd still hit a leadoff double off him, before failing to score.

I'm not sure it's actually illegal because he starts his movement toward home with his foot on the rubber and it's one continuous motion. I could be wrong but I didn't see anything about it in the rule book.

EDIT: Rule 8.05 (g) The pitcher makes any motion naturally associated with his pitch while he is not touching the pitchers plate

I would make a continuous motion where I spin repeatedly like the tasmanian devil and then hand the ball to the catcher.

There is no way the Cubs don't load the bases in the bottom of the 9th - you guys know this, right?

Fake Rallies were 2013 I think. It's hard to keep track though.

espn should hire announcers interested in watching or talking about a baseball game for their next baseball game

What would they do with all the extra air time leftover from the shots of the broadcast booth?

Before or after scoring exactly two runs?

We load them with none out and only manage a 2-run single in the next PA.
