I thought Iowa would win. I didn't understand why so many picked Davidson because the size advantage was so much but I didn't expect that. So much fun. I don't see us beating Gonzaga but I don't care. I've waited a long time and sat through too much crap to see a tourney win.

 

I figured Iowa would win comfortably with their size advantage, and Davidson picked a bad day to go cold. Iowa's defense had a lot to do with that, but they weren't hitting even when open.

On a related note, Gonzaga has no excuses now. You get a road of a No. 15, No. 7 and either No. 11 or No. 14 to make the Elite 8.

Fewest upsets by seed since the 2007 tournament, though in that one, three of those were 9 seeds. The other two were 11 seeds. That year, the E8 featured four 1's, three 2's and one 3 and the worst S16 seed was No. 7.

Twitter bitching about Dayton playing 3 home games. I agree it's a little odd for an 11 seed but with the NCAA trying to cut back on early round travel it's gonna happen occasionally. In 2013 Cal played in San Jose as a 12 seed and I don't remember an uproar when they won their first game. I think it's magnified because Dayton played at home against Boise but what was anyone supposed to do about that (besides move it from Dayton)?

 

Sucks that this is the narrative instead of talking about a team with 7 scholarship players, no one over 6-6 and playing their 5th game in 9 days.

That was last night, and it was pretty outrageous. Basically the coach brought his team onto the court(since it was a de facto road game), and in trying to fire the team up, pulled a chair to knock it down, and got T'd up for it. The official that T'd him up was behind the coach. Thankfully it didn't really end up mattering, but that was as bad a call as you can see.
