I don't care if he's a Nazi. He's a good manager.

I think being in the business of baseball for his entire life would skew him toward the rhetorical (not actual) leanings of the Republican party. I'm cool with it. He obviously cares about people and is willing to put his money and hair toward his beliefs.

I have a hard man-crush on him.

Don't get me wrong, I still really like the guy. Just a little sad to see someone so cool subscribe to stuff so silly.

Pretty exciting article. We can't hit on all of our top prospects can we?

At least one of Baez, Alcantara, Almora, and Schwarber (as a catcher) will definitely bust.

Didn't Hendry draft Baez and Alcantara? If you take them out of the equation the list of is pretty impressive. Also, there is no law that any of them have to fail unless you ascribe to Kyle logic.

Yeah, like it is not nuts that you can have a claim on a large portion of my income. Why do I have to pay for your 'generosity'?

They don't have to fail, it's just incredibly unlikely that none of them will.

Folks in Peoria were already getting the WGN-9 games, but now you’re also getting 20 of the ABC-7 games on My59.

Anyone else notice that Grimm hasn't pitched in a really long time?

There's talk he's going to be stretched out as a starter in Iowa, so he may be in minor league camp.

Per Wittenmyer, Baez has been told he'll be on the opening day roster.

If you were reading between the lines, Maddon was pretty upfront about Baez making the team early in camp. It seems clear that Baez has been instructed to work on specific things and over the last 4-5 games has walked 3 times and gotten on base at a much better clip. Sure, it was more fun last year to see him launching more home runs in spring training, but I think he is due to go on a tear in the near future and his potential is much greater than any other option they have at this point. I love Maddon showing confidence in him and letting him work through his problems.

Is there a link that talks about this? I'm not a big fan of the idea on its face, but it's better than Grimm not having pitched for 2 weeks because his arm fell off or something.

Just being a registered Republican doesn't mean he subscribes to their entire political platform, thankfully. He's rich enough that he has economic reasons to vote that way.
