I am so conflicted. I cant help but cheer for the Bears even when I want them to lose.

 

Pros of a win:

-It's fun to watch Bears win even when terrible

-It's fun to beat the Lions

-Confidence for next year?

 

Cons:

-Might destroy draft positioning

-Helps the Packers win the division and maybe get a bye

-Keeps the 0.0000000001% chance of Trestman coming back because "cutler wasnt a good fit in his system, lets give him a try with a better system QB and ignore the fact that his team was a mess off the field due to lack of leadership and also made a [expletive] ton of inexcusable mental errors, some of them repeatedly"

 

[expletive] I have to root against the Bears here

 

The Bears winning doesn't really effect the Packers unless Green Bay blows the lead in the last 3 minutes.

 

Good point, because next week is winner take all with a GB win right?

 

It is. I guess a Bears win does put Green Bay in if there's a tie.

Bears win the TO battle 3 to 0, really it's more like 4-0 because that roughing the kicker was essentially a turnover, and yet they're still going to lose. The worst part is I'm going to have to hear how great Clausen was.

Clausen has been surprisingly adequate. The OL and pass protect have been bad and the playcalling has been atrocious.

 

Golly gee, it's like there are common themes with the Bears' offensive problems this season!

Trestman and company made a bad mistake for their careers in starting Clausen. With Cutler, they could blame the bad playcalling and lack of execution on Cutler. With Clausen, they're making the same damn mistakes and having the same damn problems as they did with Cutler.

 

This isn't about the QB. It's the system and the coaching.
