Quick get Kubiak on the phone.

seriously. hopefully he doesn't say he needs a week to think about whether he wants to do it again.

man, he and LeBeau would be amazing.

F it. I want Kubiak. Forsett had almost 1300 rushing yards this year. After what he did with UDFA Foster, Forte and Carey as a combo may put up 2000 between them. Keeps the TE involved. Never had a ton of WR depth, but always has a 1000 yard WRs (Andre Johnson). Doesnt get his QBs sacked a bunch. Brilliant game plan today. Like I said, its kinda boring but damn if it doesn't work. And the Bears have the personnel to make it work. Big armed QB. Strong runner. Zone blocking OL (Kyle Long would be an excellent fit).

Long responded to a "kubiak will be your coach" tweet very favorably.

Yeah saw that. Long likes everyone and everything though.

Yea really glad Pats won. Hope Pace likes Kubiak.

Kubiak also means you barely need an OC. Bring in a stud DC. Actually, didn't Wade Phillips work with him in Houston?

Indeed. And Phillips has a good track record of improving D's quickly.

I love Bowles but don't like Roman, his rumored OC.

I think Quinn is OK (may not be ready), but don't like his rumored OC, Kyle Shanahan.

I'm fine with Kubiak and he may be the best of all worlds (experience, some familiarity with a previously successful Cutler offense, not old and/or terrible)

But I'm starting to open my eyes to Teryl Austin. Seems like the Pace of head coaching candidates. Quietly part of 3 Superbowl teams. Only 1 season as a coordinator, but people he's worked with speak highly of him.

Well looks like Roman will join Rex in Buffalo. So if we get Bowles there's a chance we'll now lie the OC hire.

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter

Bears prepared to make a major push for Ravens OC Gary Kubiak, per source. Kubiak now free to talk with teams about HC vacancies.

[expletive] yes

If the Bears hire Gary Kubiak it probably means Rick Dennison would be the OC. He interviewed for head coach two years ago.

I'm excited. C'Mon Kubiak. Dennison is great too. I almost don't care about the DC, as long as it isn't Mel Tucker. Wade would be OK. But I'd really like Perry Fewell. Not sure if he has any ties to Kubiak, though.

The only problem with Kubiak is that he's worked with Cutler before, ergo among meatballs they are catering to Cutler.

He hasn't I'm pretty sure

ETA Kubiak started in Hou in 2006, Cutlers rookie season.

I feel like Balt might block Dennison if they lose Kubiak. After what that duo did with Flacco a talent drain like that would suck for them.

Phillips or Fewell would be great.

Kubiak went to Houston before cutler was drafted.

Needless to say, I am supportive of this direction.
