Just opinion, but Knighton could wind up having 2 take a 1 year deal to hit market again next year. Big $ on long-term deal is drying up.

Would be nice, assuming he's able to move and stuff.

An anonymous head coach tells NBC Washington that "teams are afraid to sign" free agent DT Terrance Knighton because he's out of shape.

Knighton is meeting with the Redskins on Thursday, but has already been passed on by former coaches in Oakland and Chicago. He was expected to be a hot commodity as a run stuffer, and was at one point outrageously seeking $8 million per year. It's not exactly surprising that someone nicknamed "Pot Roast" is out of shape, but Knighton could cost himself all sorts of money by not hitting the open market in the shape he's expected to be in.

Never foresaw this happening with a guy nicknamed "Pot Roast"

Especially when you consider his nickname was pot roast.

Totally couldn't see this coming with someone known as pot roast.

The guys nickname is Pot Roast. What else do the expect?

They didn't have much choice, but I'm not exactly celebrating that we have a below-average quarterback and no prospects for improving at the position in the next few years.

He is average, and lets see what this year's draft yields or for that matter next year.

he's a bit above average.

yep, he's so eager for the Jimmy Claussen era to officially begin he could just puke. unfortunately, now he's stuck with a legitimate NFL quarterback that will likely improve his chances for success. Bummer for him.

Certainly not a horrible place to be, but I refuse to believe that if any halfway decent offer was put on the table, Cutler would have been traded

any offer would have to be contingent with receiving an NFL starting caliber QB.

No one is making that trade. You don't trade your starting QB for a meh Cutler who gets $18 million a year and is replacement level.

trade for kenny stills, plz

Yes. No clue why he's evidently available.

Seems like the Saints are weirdly dead set on just completely remodeling the team. One would have to think Pace would love to get one of his guys.
