If the Bears hire Gary Kubiak it probably means Rick Dennison would be the OC. He interviewed for head coach two years ago.

I'm excited. C'Mon Kubiak. Dennison is great too. I almost don't care about the DC, as long as it isn't Mel Tucker. Wade would be OK. But I'd really like Perry Fewell. Not sure if he has any ties to Kubiak, though.

Phillips or Fewell would be great.

I question how great fewell would be, but he would almost certainly be an upgrade

The only problem with Kubiak is that he's worked with Cutler before, ergo among meatballs they are catering to Cutler.

Kubiak hasn't worked with Cutler. Even if he did, it wouldn't be completely catering to Cutler because Kubiak has value as a head coach other than Cutler. Which is what I pointed out in several posts (that you didn't read or comprehend) which I assume you are referencing.

Big domino in the coaching world in action today: #Broncos OC Adam Gase. #Bears and #49ers very interested, with QB development in focus.

He did pretty good in Buffalo. The key for any DC is shoring up the DB a little and at least one impact guy in the front 7.

The 49ers will conduct a second interview with Todd Bowles, who remains in play for the Falcons and Bears HC jobs as well

Huh? How so?

Quick coaching search update: At this point, #Falcons appear to narrow their search to Todd Bowles and Dan Quinn. D is the focus.

Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora

At this point would not be surprised to see Quinn to NY, Bowles to ATL, Kubiak or M. Shanahan to CHI, Del Rio or Sparano to OAK

I'll continue to stress this, Gary Kubiak is a terrible head coach. It's almost like nobody watched him in Houston. He was awful and the fans hated him.

Your opinion on this is terrible and wrong.

You are wrong and people from Texas do not have viable opinions so fans don't matter.

We are getting lucky with this. Given a choice, if Atlanta wants Kubiak, he's ptobably theirs.

Kubiak went to Houston before cutler was drafted.

Needless to say, I am supportive of this direction.

The facts don't matter to meatballs though. He"s from the Shanny tree.

Me? My nipples are hard.

I'd be happy with it. I think the Bears want to try experience this time, at the NFL HC level, as a clean break from Trestman,

Looks like Roman is going to the Bills so I'm back to being good with Bowles.

Source: Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin is scheduled to interview with the #Bears on Tuesday for their head coaching vacancy.

So, it looks like we have at least a few more days to wait.

Hopefully. Today was the first day they could schedule something though. Hope they can get him in by Wed and hire by Friday at latest.

No idea why they think that - as a fan of a rival team (Titans) who has watched Houston at a minimum of 2 times every year and typically more, I've always thought very highly of his coaching ability.

I was a bit surprised when they fired him and think he's probably the best coaching candidate out there this offseason (Kubiak and Bowles at the top for me, even before any hirings took place).
