Gurley tore his ACL. Might be a third straight year with no first round RBs.

Happy SEC vs. FCS Warmup Week, everyone.

Didn't we just have that two weeks ago?

That was just the Mississippi schools, this is the others

Melvin Gordon will probably be a first round pick, no?

Sounds like he's more of a back end of the first round type of guy and with how much RBs have been devalued in the draft, he could easily slip. Gordon, Coleman and Abdullah have a chance but Gurley was a slam dunk before the injury.

Really sucks for Gurley. Screw the NCAA.

Gameday is going to Harvard/Yale? Uhh, okay.

Seattle is rumored to be cutting Lynch after the season and really likes Gordon. I don't think Gordon gets out of the first. There are going to be a handful of playoff teams that could use a RB.

Pats- Vereen and Ridley are FAs

Colts- doubt they'd use another 1st on a RB after trading this year's

Maybe Dallas- Murray a FA

AFC South Winner- could see any of ATL, NO or CAR taking a RB early due to FA and cuts

Maybe Ravens

NFL is the organization that kept Gurley from turning pro, not the NCAA.

@JasonPhilCole: Got two text messages from NFL folks saying Georgia RB Todd Gurley will still likely be a first-round pick even with ACL injury.

Is the NFL also the reason the NCAA makes money off these guys and yet doesn't give them a penny?

My focus is on next season. Gus needs to do everyone a favor and start Jeremy Johnson at qb for the last three games. get Nick Marshall reps at cornerback as that is really his only shot at the nfl. Fire Ellis Johnson, and make Muschamp the highest paid defensive coordinator in the country.

Really interesting to see if the Arkansas staff can get the team ready for the Ole Miss game. That game vs LSU was one of the more emotional wins in recent memory. I think the Hogs can run on OM and get bowl eligible.

Why do you follow it if it's so repugnant?

Arkansas is funny. "Recent memory"? You guys were a real team 3 years ago. Were in the sugar bowl and blew out South Carolina.

Yeah, but most of these kids were'nt around for that and definitely were'nt getting PT. That win over LSU last night after starting 0-17 in the SEC was a huge release for the players, the fans and the staff. It's easily the best this program has felt since Petrino left.

Yep. You could tell that they were close against all these ranked teams this year, but couldn't get over the hump/close the deal. The win over LSU is HUGE. They also had quite a few notable recruits at that game from what my buddy told me and they got a good class coming in that could end up being better (7- 4 star recruits that have committed so far after only landing 3 last year).

A top 20 class right now, and yes, there were a ton of recruits at that game. Good times are ahead I believe. If this team goes 1-1 or better against OM and Mizzou and goes to a bowl game, there will be some serious momentum for 2015.

I know some of you guys don't like Bielema, but keeping this team competing week after week after all the gut wrenching losses is quite an accomplishment.

Someone I know pretty well is involved with the Bull Gators at UF, and he said that the buyout had a 1-year clause of no coaching for Muschamp.

Just win this week (and next week but that's probably too much to ask for) and make a bowl. I don't think it would save Hoke's job even if we won out and finished 8-5, so no harm in rooting for them to at least play in December/January.

Serious question. If Arkansas beats Ole Miss could they be the first 6-5 team ever ranked in the top 25? The power rankings seem to suggest that. Wow.
