I keep thinking maybe they just aren't that good and then I remember how unbeatable they looked in December.

At some point when every post game is full of quotes like "we are sick of getting our butts kicked" and "we need to play harder" and there is no change in play, their will is broken

Rose with another solid 2-9 from 3. :( he's one stubborn dude.

Garpax needs to make a trade to save this season. I am not at all impressed with Thibs this year. Hinrich has no business playing 28 minutes last night when neither Snell or Doug see a single minute. Why is DRose not being benched for continuing to chuck 3s, he was 2/9 last night. Another couple weeks of this nonsense and Thibs is going to be looking for a new team.

He's not going to be a difference maker and ultimately, he won't be the reason why the Bulls fail or succeed this year. But Thibs's handling of McDermott has been extremely frustrating the last few weeks. If he's not going to get any burn on the court in regular season games, why wouldn't you just send him to the D-League so he can at least get some playing time? And in situations like last night, when you're down by 15 in the 4th quarter, why not bring a guy off the bench who can legitimately score some points for you?

Play the dude. He can't be worse than Hinrich. [expletive], most of this board can't be worse than Hinrich.

Thibs will take the fall at the end of the season. Not certain he deserves it inasmuch as this team is deeply flawed on the perimeter, but he will be fired.

Beginning of the year, I was firmly Team Thibs. At this point, I'm ready for him to go. He's a great coach but for longevity, you need more than one gear. I'm ready for the the Hoiberg era.

I don't necessarily want him to go, I think he's a great coach, but if the team is tuning him out I wouldn't necessarily be pissed if he left. Once a team tunes you out its hard to get them to buy back in.

The other option is a trade to shake things up. The Tobias Harris rumor would work for me.

I've moved from being pissed off and breaking things if the Bulls fire Thibs. to not wanting him to be fired, but wouldn't be too upset if he is.

It's insane how quickly this got out of hand. Something needs to change. We need to deal a front court player for a wing player. Mirotic needs to start next to Gasol or Noah (preferably Noah, with Gasol bum-slaying off the bench). I would love to see Taj, Snell, McD, picks, whoever else traded for Tobias Harris and a rotation big. Taj would go to a 3rd team as I doubt Orlando wants him. Then start Rose, Jimmy, Harris, Mirotic, and Noah. Mirotic provides the spacing that Harris and Butler can't consistently provide. The second group would then include Dunleavy and Brooks to provide spacing, and Gasol as the interior scorer. Hopefully the rotation big you pick up can play in the high post and hit a wide open mid range jumper consistently.

None of this will happen as I doubt the Bulls make a mid season trade and Thibs will never bench Gasol, but one can dream.

I think the key takeaway here is that SSR and IMB were right all along. Derrick Rose is a trifling mf'er and Russell Westbrook is an example of what every American should aspire to be.

We're like one Blackhawks major injury away from the Cubs being the best team in Chicago.

hawks are still the best team in the nhl, stfu kyle

Also, Kirk Hinrich is now the least valuable player in the NBA, having contributed a net of nearly -60 points (-2 wins!) to the Bulls. To get an idea of how detrimental that is, it's essentially Nikola Mirotic's value to the team this year.

Cowley is currently making a passionate defense of Hinrich on Twitter

@suntimes_hoops: Don't understand the Hinrich hate. Team functions better when he's out there and he's the only real hard-nosed player on the roster.

@suntimes_hoops: I don't see the No. 1 dishing out hard fouls and running through screens with no regard for his body. That's for sure.

@suntimes_hoops: There's a reason every guy in that locker room loves Hinrich. Blue-collar guy on a team that has softened up the last year.

@suntimes_hoops: Hinrich is very Rowand-esque.

@suntimes_hoops: At the end of the day, you coaching St. Joe's 5th grade CYO does not make you smarter than Thibs and his locker room. #Learnthegame

@suntimes_hoops: Hinrich isn't a starter. Never said he was. He's a 7th piece on a championship team forced into heavier minutes because of injury.

@suntimes_hoops: One thing I know about Hinrich is his 2025 calendar is meeting-free, and he plays that way.

Btw the 6-7-8 guys on the Spurs last year (no order) were Ginobili, Bellineli, and Diaw
