Titans trade LB Akeem Ayers to the Patriots.

Yeah, I'm gonna pass on a 6:30 AM game on the one day a week I can sleep in.

Wow, that early game is real? I saw on my fantasy lineup that Calvin Johnson had a game at 9:30AM and I thought it was Yahoo doing weird [expletive] again. Like every once in a while, they'll randomly put games in PST. Is this game airing on national TV? I'd watch it....well because it's football.

What a fall for a guy who played really well early on in his career. Ayers seemed like a really good pick early on, but has barely played at all this year and clearly just fell out of favor with the current staff. Him not being a fit for a 3-4 seems odd to me as his skillset seems to fit it, but he wasn't playing. We got nothing for him - just moved up from the 7th round to the 6th round and the Pats got our 7th.

Eh, I'm in full Suck for the Duck mode anyway. Let's just keep losing and take Mariota.

Well yeah it's real. They're playing in London.

Yeah, I knew it was in London. I didn't know if it was 9:30PM London time, which is why Yahoo was showing 9:30. Usually the London games are still at 1 EST.

They've moved the game to Barcelona, and for some reason Atlanta can't take a direct flight.

I want to hear the explanation for the "3 planes" issue. They aren't departing from Green Bay. They can fly direct to London. The way it is written indicates they are actually taking three separate airplanes, but the graphic indicates they are talking about the 3 different legs of the total journey. And they are considering their return flight from London as part of their trip to London.

Zach Mettenberger will start Sunday for the Titans, despite Locker apparently being healthy.

I'm a fan of this. Mettenberger is a really intriguing guy and I was hoping we'd get a good look at him this season prior to making a decision on a QB in the draft. This move definitely makes the future better one way or the other (either Mettenberger shows he can be a franchise QB or he shows that we need to use a 1st rounder on one), but it might help the present too. Locker isn't that great and can't stay healthy and Whitehurst is very clearly nothing but a decent backup.

I didn't realize that 8:30 CT game would be on nationally. This might actually be the week my wife breaks up with me. 14 hours of football.

This has nothing to do with Week 8 specifically, but I'm just curious whether anyone else shares in my rapidly decreasing interest in the NFL.

I used to look forward to every Bears game, watch most games on Sunday/Monday nights, and thought it was great when we reached the point in the season when Thursday night football started. Over the past few years I have slowly stopped watching many of those games, to the point where this year I am barely even interested in the Bears and usually just have the game on in the background.

I'm trying to figure out what has changed... getting older, getting married, having a kid, I'm sure all those events have contributed to some degree, but more than anything I think I have just become exhausted with the nonstop and over-the-top coverage of NFL. The more the media talks about it and everyone gets wrapped up in their fantasy teams, I find myself backing further and further away. The NFL dominates sports talk more than ever and I find myself listening to sports radio less and less at work because I just get sick of hearing about football. I apparently have the opposite of #FOMOF, whatever that would be.

Am I alone in this feeling? Where can I join the support group for people who love sports but are tired of football?
