Eh, award voters don't give a [expletive] about those grades. They care about interceptions, forced fumbles, and tackles. Things that are eye catching on highlights or they can look at on the ESPN stats page without looking too deep.

EDIT: Whether he wins the award is also irrelevant. He's clearly a check in the "success" column of Emery's draft history.

Brian Urlacher on @gamechicago: "Financially, (Jay Cutler) is an elite quarterback."

Yeah I've been done with Brian for awhile now.

I'm pretty sure he thinks every Super Bowl should be won 2000 Ravens style. Defense carries the team, offense's job is to not [expletive] up.

Run the ball 40 times a game, have some garbage QB throw for 150 but never turn it over. TRUE BLACK AND BLUE FOOTBALL.

I think he just doesn't like Jay.

He loved Rex.

True. I was alluding more to his never-dying allegiance to Lovie and his whole run first, play good defense mentality. He's clearly not over that fire, which, considering it was such a necessary fire from an offensive standpoint, tells me his philosophy is probably not a whole lot different.

Not going to lie though, I can't say I'd mind having him on the defensive staff somewhere.

Sorry, never provided an explanation for leaving. Get ready! I got a new job where my work blocked NSBB and I have basically stopped following baseball very closely. That's it. Checked back in a little while back after the Shark trade to see what people were saying. I still love you all.

There was a long running meme here that you had died.

Saw that. Considering how active I was, I should have at least checked in. That was shitty of me. But I needed a baseball detox after the 2008 and it has never really ended.

Alright, back to the Bears.

Oh Tom, you big kidder.

Tom Brady on the #Bears ability to generate takeaways (tied for 5th-most in NFL): "They’re obviously really coached well."

There's been a day or two here or there where NSBB accidentally got blocked, and then was unblocked again within 24 hours. Those were scary days.

Lol Olin Kruetz who punched his teammates.

So Marshall is a bit crazy and we'll have to deal with outbursts at times but he's also been very influential over our young players and their training and development, namely Jeffery.

It's all so stupid. All these guys are just still so butt hurt about Lovie even though he's moved on to his own new terrible team.

Wasn't Urlacher one of the main guys that essentially bullied Cedric Benson from the day he started because he'd held out a bit during camp?

Yeah, imagine what Olin would have done to Marshall if the outburst had happened at a gun range.

And yes, Kreutz and Urlacher were ringleaders of the anti-Benson thing.
