Jeez, Cleveland might actually turn the corner here. They are 3-2, and the combined record of their next 3 opponents is 1-16 (at JAX, vs. OAK, vs TB).

The O/U for the Packers-Panthers game seems like easy money. I'm anticipating something similar to Carolina's game yesterday, especially if both Shields and Tramon are out for the Packers.

Packers -7 seems a bit high

It isn't. Aaron Rodgers won't make a handful of terrible throws to keep Carolina in the game as Andy Dalton did. It took a spectacular game from Cam to get the tie yesterday, and I can't believe GB's defense will play as poorly as Cincy's did, particularly against the read-option.

They're awful against the read option

Yeah. As soon as Miami started going with the read option, the Packers couldn't stop them on defense. It wasn't a coincidence that they started moving the ball once Lattimore was hurt and Brad Jones came in the game.

I'm expecting a lot of points from both teams.

Conversely, the Giants have @ Dallas, Indy, @ Seattle, SF, Dallas. Teams that have combined to lose 2 games in the last 5 weeks.

So apparently this big Australian Rugby star is quitting the NRL to come to the NFL. It's likely to be a massive pay cut for him (up to 90%). Apparently the Seahawks are the team most talked about with regards to him. He's hoping to get signed in the offseason, and will be training in the interim. 6'2", 220lbs...only experience playing American football is playing video games.

I saw he made a million dollars over there, so I'm not sure how he could have a 90% paycut if he makes a roster.

Right. Hayden Smith is a rugby guy that was on the Jets and spent a year on the practice squad. Though that guy wasn't nearly the star in rubgy that this Jarryd Hayne is.

He's not coming over to hang out on the practice squad. He will probably do that for what remains of this season, and if he's not on a roster by next year he'd probably go back and take advantage of that lifetime agreement with his Kangaroo team.

Dallas Cowboys reserve running back Joseph Randle was arrested for shoplifting from a suburban mall Monday night.

A pair of underwear and a partially used tester bottle of cologne.

That's a guy with a bright future.

took me24 hours 2 come up w/ this take but I think it was worth the wait: Joseph Randle need's 2 makeup his mind is he a Cowboy or a Stealer

He should have taken another 24 hours and come up with something funny.

fwiw, the Lions signed another Rugby star / Youtube sensation, Carlin Isles to the practice squad at the end of last season, and nothing really came of it

If that's his plan I don't think he'll even make a PS this season. I would imagine if he's serious about it he's willing to go at least all of next season on a PS. While its peanuts, the long term payoff is still there.

Edit- after looking at the NRL schedule it looks like he could go all the way into the start of training camp 2016 and miss the same amount of time in Rugby that Jordan missed in basketball (if you want a rough comparison)
