Worst announcers since 2003 when what's his face was openly rooting for the [expletive] Marlins.

Brennaman?

These idiots announced the series last year against the Kings too.

I think we split at home but still win the series in 6. I cannot think of a series where the Hawks didn't play better as the series went on.

I guess the only 2 examples in the Q era are the WCF against Detroit in the first playoff run and the series against Phoenix with Hossa out and Toews not right from the concussion.

I think they actually played better at the end of that Coyotes series besides the last game where they just crapped the bed. Also, didn't realize that 5 out of 6 of those games went to OT. Nuts.

Crawford gave up two of the softest game winning goals that I can remember in Games 3 and 4 of that series.

He did get up those softies, but those games never should have gotten to that point. Mike Smith played like Ken Dryden.

My first thought was that there was no way that was legal but the [expletive] announcers gave me false hope. [expletive] them.

so, the illegal part of that hockey goal came from the tipping the puck in with something that was not a hockey stick? So, you cant throw a puck in or kick a puck in? thats the only rationale i can understand. but comon, its so damn awesome, I feel like it has to be legal

Correct, you can't kick or throw a puck in. It can go in accidentally off of your body, but if it's an intentional motion to direct the puck with your body, it's no goal.

I don't know a ton about hockey but this is known.

Anyone else catch Mully and Hanley after 8am this morning? Jamal Mayers was on ripping Timonen to shreds. Saying he had a great career but the game has passed him by. Which we all know, but it was odd seeing a player be so bold so soon after he retired.

I don't listen to Mully and Hanley anymore. I find them intolerable. But Timonen sure hasn't been good...so it's hard to argue.

I agree, I only keep them on when they talk Cubs or Hawks. Usually it's mindless babbling about Cutler or Rose.

A little disappointed in the play this far. I expected them to come out at home with more energy. So far the Ducks have been carrying play.
