i hate depressing weekend sports days

so, is this foreboding for the series to come or just cobwebs? the Hawks started out so strong but after beating Rinne and dominating the Wild, hwat happened?

I honestly think it was too much time off. I never seem to fear the Blackhawks getting down, but they will need to punch the Ducks in the mouth Tuesday

I think it's a combo of rust, bad luck and timely mistakes. Also give credit to the Goalie he made some good stops and/or the Hawks had several near misses that could have been goals easily

I thought they looked like the better team for most of the game. Anaheim got some pucks to go in, we didn't, we got burned late when we had to press. Happens.

yep agreed 100%. the blackhawks looked much better than the ducks for probably the first two periods. just couldnt get the puck behind anderson. win tuesday and things are all good.

Yep. I've seen a lot of irrational panic from fans, but this was a series opening road game after 10 days off, where we really dominated the game in every way other than the score. If the rest of the series is played in a similar style, the Hawks will win this. I'm not yet worried.

Grab home ice tomorrow night.

Agree, no cause for panic. I was encouraged by their pace of play. However, if they suddenly go Wild-cold and can't convert wide open chances, then yeah we're screwed.

People forget that Q uses the first couple games of a series to set a strategy. Not worried. Even if they lost tomorrow I wouldn't be worried

I hope Q doesn't mess with the D pairings too much with Cuminsky being a lefty.

As for the series I said Hawks in 5, I am sticking to it. As others have said, the Hawks looked like the better team and if Kane had buried that chance early I think it would have been a totally different game.

Anybody have a creative way for me to watch the game tonight so I don't have to sit in a bar until 10:30 since my hotel doesn't have NBCSN?

Do you have NBCSN at home? I believe they allow streaming with a cable login if that's a palatable option: http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/

That's what I'm doing. I'm in a hotel without nbcsn so I brought a chromecast and the NBC Live Extra App

Yeah, the stream is great there.

(Been stuck at the office late a lot the past few months so I've been forced to watch that way.)
