Which would suck as its more time for Perry to get healthy and of course it means 10 freaking days between games. Has any team ever had 10 days between playoff series? Seems like if that's not the record, its close to it.

they could do that, but things like travel/hotels/venue booking etc requires some firm commitments. I think they would really need to just tell them Thursday regardless of other games.

I do have tickets to game 6 if the Hawks don't finish them off by then. Looks like that will be Wednesday or Thursday two weeks from now. I would imagine the full schedules will be announced after Game 7 tonight. Have to think the ECF will be Saturday leading up to the Preakness if NYR wins or Monday if Washington wins and has to play in Tampa.

The NHL has really lucked out by getting its best US markets in the finals consistently over the last several years. I think teams like DET, NYR, PIT, PHI, BOS, WAS, MTL, TOR, CHI give the NHL a sizable ratings boost. Putting 2 together is great. Teams like LA, SJ, VAN, STL give them a moderate boost, and the rest of the teams hurt the ratings. If my theory is true, 10 of the last 14 SCF teams fall in the big boost category, and 3 of the other 4 in the moderate category.
