#Blackhawks recall defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk from Rockford of AHL.

Twitter consensus is that he won't play, but is just up here to practice.

I dunno, he played Cumiskey who hadn't seen competitive ice in a month......

But Cumiskey was healthy. TVR's recovery schedule didn't have him fully healed until June 2.

This was wrist surgery. Potentially, he's been skating for a while now. TVR is young and could easily have healed ahead of schedule. I really doubt that Q would play him at this point though. Cumiskey hadn't been playing in the NHL but he had been playing.

Q said TVR is medically cleared. Won't play in Game 4, but could play in the series.

Said Teuvo and Vermette "could play" in game 4, which means they likely will.

Says Kruger wasn't hurt, but "should be better" in game 4....better than what? Who knows.

It really is a fireable offense. Granted Q has two cups, but this makes me wonder if this dynasty window is similar to the late 80's Bears where they should have won more then what they did. Q seems to move his roster around to the detriment of the team being unwilling to play his best players. The fact that every team in the league wanted Vermette yet he played him out of position for a long time to now scratching him is flat out stupid. His GM traded a good young piece along with a high draft pick for the guy, yet he's refusing the play him on the biggest stage?

I thought my coworker saying that the Hawks were done after last night was the worst sports related thing I would hear today.

There's a lot of shiny toy syndrome among fans. A lot of people were *sure* that Rundblad would have to be better than Rozsival, too, and Q was just being a meanie by playing Rozsival over a guy like that.

But we saw Vermette play well in game 2 and we have seen Teuvo play at a level that Nordstrom could never play at this postseason. This particular move made no sense.

A - You seem to think winning two Stanley Cups in 5 seasons (and having set yourself up for a good shot at 3 in 6) might be running *below* expectation.

B - You think a lineup/roster decision in one game is a fireable offense.

C - Get a load of cubbievirus calling someone a weirdo.

Yes in a pivotal playoff game, intentionally benching a potential rising star rookie in TT and a coveted Center in Vermette for two subpar players is extremely awful. There's no advanced statistic to support that. Q will get support due to past success but if he's your average coach on a big market team then perhaps he's on shaky ground. But of course you don't watch hockey so you dont have an opinion worth a [expletive].

This is still the most talented roster in hockey and we should have won last year. This year I believe we should and could still win it all, however intentionally making your team worse won't help in a pivotal playoff game won't help.

people are just spoiled. they see all the minor faults that our coach has and blow them way out of proportion. they aren't used to not getting what they want from this team, so somebody's gotta pay!

this was another good season, and q is a proven commodity who has tons of continuity with the core guys. he's not going anywhere, stop this

Are we going to ever put one past this bozo?

2 goals in 9 periods and 5 in 13 assuming we don't get a shortie

Edit: and they do!
