2 RB/Flex, standard points

Stacy

Asiata

Spiller

Bradshaw

D. Hopkins

Asiata is hot and GB just got lit up on the ground. Then the other one is kind of a toss up. I'd probably go Spiller, but couldn't blame you if you went Hopkins.

I need 2 of these 3...

Julian Edelman

Reggie Wayne

Eric Decker

Wayne. Edelman has had a couple bad weeks as Brady forgot how to play QB. But the Pats will figure it out, just like last year. Wayne and Edelman.

That's the way I have it now, just needed reassurance. I'm not confident in the Jets QB situation or Decker's health.

Evaluate a trade, anyone?

I have the shittiest receivers ever: Cordelle Patterson, Marques Colston, Percy Harvin, Greg Jennings (Josh Gordon stashed on bench). I have better RBs: Jamaal Charles, Giovani Bernard, Lamar Miller, Donald Brown. Plus there are decent RBs on waiver wire. We start 3 WR and 2 RB (no flex).

I trade: Jamaal Charles, Marques Colston (filler...he's gonna drop)

I get: DeMarius Thomas and Ahmad Bradshaw (or CJ Spiller, my choice)

I'm gonna go with NO. Colston will come on like he did last year. Charles is too good to take the drop off to a backup RB. Monumentally better than Miller (who you'd start) or Bradshaw.

I want to trade CJ Spiller - who I have in two different non-PPR leagues. What is fair value for him at this point? He's been fairly productive overall, but isn't getting a ton of touches either so he's fairly TD dependent.

Would a questionable #1 WR like Cruz be too much? Or would fair value be more like an upside WR2/flex type like Brandin Cooks?

A guy in my league just traded Martellus Bennett for Trent Richardson, so who knows. I thought that was an awful deal for the guy getting Richardson, but he was desperate.

Bengals D @ NE or Lions D home against Buffalo

Bengals just barely over Detroit.

Orton will throw the ball better than Manuel.

NE is just bad on offense, no O-Line and no playmakers.

Either way, you're in good shape.

It doesn't hurt to ask. Fwiw, there's not much of a drop-off from Cruz to Cooks.

I'm holding onto Josh Gordon in the first year of a keeper league. I'll get to keep him for two more years for the cost of a 10th round pick. I am also 4-0 in the league, but could use some reinforcements at RB/WR just to make sure I make the playoffs and also to strengthen my team for the playoffs.

I am having a really hard time figuring out how to value Gordon, though. To me, he seems to be one of the most valuable assets in my league due to the low keeper cost, but I'm not sure if others share that view.

I'd look at rosters of teams who are 1-3 or 0-4 if they exist and try to deal with them since their season is likely not going anywhere fast anyway. Waiting until week 6 or 7 to take that approach might work better though.

I ended up trading Spiller and Kendall Wright for Cruz.

Spiller really concerns me since he's TD dependent to be a major part of a team, but he doesn't get goal line touches. Cruz is a risk, but if the Giants' resurgence is real (plenty of reason to think it is) then Cruz is a clear #1 WR.

The Bills' usage of Spiller is infuriating. They put Fred Jackson on the field in 2-minute spots, which seems to be exactly when you'd want Spiller on the field.

In an unrelated story, I have owned Spiller every year of his career.

This was the first year I've owned him, but I've been intrigued by him since he came into the league. I get giving Jackson the goal line and short yardage carries - that makes perfect sense. I don't get ignoring Spiller in the pass game and, as you said, in the two-minute offense.

At least this year he's returning kicks, which gets the ball in his hands a bit more.

in 2-minute spots you usually want the better pass protector, unless a chasm exists in respective receiving ability, which doesn't here
