how amazing would it have been if that had been caught after he jumped out of the box like that

Would rather he tore his ACL

Wasn't it David Wells that said nobody ever went on the DL with pulled fat?

and still hit it out of the park?

it'd have to be more than just an ACL

After watching this, I'm convinced we need to give the cardinals some advantages to be more competitive.

Also had Puig done that kind of celebrating we would have heard all about it being done the wrong way.

They're going to win regardless so who cares?

No non-white FAs are going to want to play for their racist fans, so they are at an unfair disadvantage. They need a second competitive balance pick each year.

Tigers get swept with Schzerer, Verlander and Price going, Dodgers on the way to losing all 3 games started by Kershaw and Greinke. Maybe Theo is on to something with his focus on hitting?

Edit: nm I forgot they won the Greinke game. Point still stands.

They remind me of the early 2000 Yankees teams at this point. Just go away.

late 90s early 2000s?

those teams were legitimately great teams. i've got no hate for them.

It's not really hate, it's more just tired of seeing the same [expletive] over and over again. It's time for your decline.

yeah but the cardinals for the most part keep taking marginal to decent playoff teams and winning the playoff crapshoot lottery

that's what's annoying about their success

even last year when they had a really good record it took some obscene historic luck with RISP

i don't really believe in clutch per se but players are def human and i do have this crippling irrational fear that every time we get into the playoffs our players will press like crazy and be immediately behind the 8 ball

this may or may not have something to do with how 07 and 08 went

This will be even funnier in three years when we get around to making the playoffs and they do it to us.

Complete game shutout by one of their competitive balance draft picks in game 7

I'm a tad worried about all of the strikeouts vs top-of-the-line pitching.
