Meanwhile, Masterson has been a joke this year so we should get about 14 dongs out of Baez and Soler (AND RIZZO IF HE'D EVER COME BACK TO THIS WONDERFUL LINEUP)

I don't know that either Soler or Rizzo play both games today. Put Rizzo in the early game, Soler in the night game. Then both in the lineup together tomorrow when I can watch on WGN and there are no college football games on.

Masterson will be experimenting with working out of the stretch all day. He really struggled with his delivery this year...too many moving parts going in many directions. This is probably his last chance to establish himself as a SP or it's the bullpen.

 

Rooting for Doubront to do well. We need LH starters to begin to stay here.

Probably depends if he can play multiple positions serviceably. If he's strictly a 2B, he probably will have a hard time sticking around. But if he can/Theo and co. feel he can play 2B/3B/OF I definitely can see a fit.
