Would it be out of the question to see Russell get bumped up to AAA yet this year? Especially if/once Baez gets promoted?

I think it would be insane.

There were people who thought he would start this year in MLB. It's not THAT crazy to get him to AAA.

Law said he believed he could start the year in MLB, I think a lot of the other prospect guys thought he at least could get there this year.

Of course it's not unheard of, but I'd like to know how many 20 year-olds in the modern era have been expected to start every day at the beginning of a MLB season. Guys that will be 20 the entire year.

Law and Parks have mentioned he could play in the bigs now.

 

Wouldn't be the best thing for him (just like Castro getting called up when he did wasn't the best thing for him) but I think he has a better at bats/game plan than Castro at the same age and could definitely have some success.

Glad Soler is playing both games of the doubleheader (though I guess he might have been scheduled to have game two off but the ejection in game one changed things).

I kind of want Soler to hit the walkoff HR in Game 2, flip off the umpire who ejected him after crossing home plate, and then get called up tomorrow morning.

In fairness, his season will probably end in a week once hurricane season kicks into gear. Calling him up now wouldn't be the worst idea.
