Has Soler made an adjustment to his swing? Despite his massive size, he's never shown this much game power. Theo even mentioned once that his swing was very level and more geared towards line drives and grounders. I wonder if he changed something because this is really impressive.

At the very least I think he has put on a good amount of muscle

Yeah maybe he's just so [expletive] huge his line drive swing is now resulting in homers.

I get confused with minor league playoff scenarios, but I see Tennessee is under .500 and Iowa is above. Would be sweet if Russell and Soler get called up to AAA for the PCL playoffs and the top 4 dudes are all in the same lineup.

Tennessee is at .500 in the 2nd half, which is a 3-way tie for 1st in that division, while Iowa is a half game out of first in their division, so the playoff probabilities are probably about the same.

Ah, thanks. I wasn't sure if that 1st half and 2nd half stuff applied to double-A.

All of a sudden they are all mashing in AA or higher and the "all-prospect" lineups don't seem quite as crazy.

and basically not even a year from now lololololol

the lack of Schwarber in that lineup saddens me. Just let him catch and who cares if he's bad at it.

if that lineup works out next year then we can trade him i guess. or if he shows he can stick at C then he can catch one day but i doubt it'll be a year from now like the rest of those guys could easily be.

Alcantara - CF

Castro - 3B

Rizzo - 1B

Soler - RF

Bryant - LF

Baez - 2B

Russell - SS

Castillo - C

3 of these guys are already in the major leagues

even if a couple of the minor leaguers end up as only middling/average players, that's a ridiculous lineup

and like no salary lol

Most Castro down to behind Baez and push everyone else up one.

I'd put Russell at leadoff

I feel like if Castro moves, it would be to 2nd base. Not really sure why I think that (maybe it's the AZ Phil reports of Castro's best position being 2B when he was in the AZL). I think we see Russell brought up late in 2015 and have him play 3rd for at least a few seasons, as it's easier to have the minor leaguer learn a new position.

Whatever, it's awesome either way.

not down on russell or anything but of those guys i am the least confident in him being an impact type bat that you want getting the most PAs on the team (well, besides castillo, who i had 8th)

i mean it's ridiculous when you are doing an all prospect/home grown lineup and addison russell is 7th but w/e this is where we are

of course a couple of those guys, especially javy, are the boom or bust type where he might not even be good enough to bat in an MLB lineup, which is why i'm not putting him behind russell even if i think russell might be more likely to stick

I think they really want Javy at 2B. And I already saw a sourced report that they may tell Castro to move to 3B soon (like this offseason). Who knows how much there is to that, though.

Would allow him to put on some more muscle though to make the most of the type of hitter he is, though

I know the simple solution is our 3 SS playing 2B/SS/3B. But if the FO truly sees KB at 3B, it throws things off a tad anyway. Soler seems a better fit in RF than KB as it is.....

Maybe it's this.....

C Castillo

1B Rizzo

2B Castro

SS Russell

3B KB

LF Javy

CF Alcantara

RF Soler

Trading for Stanton just makes so much more sense.

I've seen others suggest this and I just don't see how Bryant is a better infielder than Javy

I can't wait until we take the best college bat next year again.

to think we might have one of those lineups at the MLB level next may and then be adding another top 5 pick is pretty crazy
