way, way back in HS I was a gymnast. A teammate was tall enough that when he did the high bar he had to separate the mats beneath the bar to do his giant swings. Well, long story short, on his dismount during practice he landed where there was insufficient mats beneath him and shattered his leg. Exposed bone in multiple places, blood everywhere. We still had to compete that day after several people lost their cookies and everyone was shaken.

I just can't see things like this without reliving that moment.

Sucks.

I have a fourteen inch titanium rod in my leg to this day from a similar injury THE DAY AFTER I graduated high school ('95).

Doc said it was the cleanest break he had ever seen, my leg was beyond 90 degrees to the outside just like this, but didn't break the skin (though it pressed against skin and stretched it abt an inch) Friend tried to take my legs out "play at the plate style". Put his shoulder through both of my leg bones. I rolled onto my back to flip myself up, and foot flopped to the right (right leg). I was enough in shock that I didn't feel all the pain I should have, until paramedic straightened it out to put in cradle and on board to carry me to ambulance.

Doctor didn't set the small bone and didn't cast it, as the rod was "much stronger than both bones combined. The day after surgery (removing kneecap, drilling out tibia, inserting rod, replacing patella) they had me on crutches, trying to put ever so slight weight on my big toe. I passed out and threw up, in that order.

In 2 weeks and 2 days I was walking with a cane. Giant calcium deposit that acts as a barometer, but beyond that, no trouble nearly 20 years later.

Until I saw these pictures. Now I am reliving every moment.

Livingston is the worst for me.

Agreed, although whatshisname from Louisville was awful. On a side note, it looks like whatshisname from Louisville has made the Pelicans as an undrafted FA.

Trading Wiggins for Love would be stupid. Cleveland is a championship team right now.

I go back and forth on this. Its a pretty crowded perimeter in Cleveland right now between Irving, LeBron and Wiggins...can they all play together and space the floor appropriately? Do you need balance up front? LeBron can play in the post MJ-style to be sure, but is that the best use of his skills?

Are you sure, I thought he was playing for Georia State?

i know very little about the nba, but lebron left himself an out in 2 years so you might as well go balls out now for a championship.

I'm not an nba scout. But if I were the Cavs and the scouts and talent evaluators adamantly believed that wiggins projects to be a great nba player. Ie if he projects to belong in the group of number 1 overall players selected before Bennett (rose, Davis, kyrie, wall, griffin) than I would not do the deal for Love. Love is a great player but with Wiggins you have the potential to contend starting next year for the next 10 years. You have basically the potential to contend every year for 12 years. I'd take that chance. Love is good but he's not good enough to completely give up on all these highly regarded players when you already have the best player in the league.

i'm super biased, but I'd at least want to see how the two play together. Wiggins will be an elite defender that will take some pressure off of LeBron on that end, and I feel like the two playing together would create a ton of havoc and lead to a lot of easy baskets.

I don't care what MN says, the Love trade will be there all season. See what you have in Wiggins. If you feel like it's not enough, then deal him for Love.

Nah. He just wants a new contract once the new TV deal begins. LeBron is staying in Cleveland for the rest of his career.

he definitely just made it a two-year contract for tv deal purposes, but it's still a two-year deal. if wiggins doesn't work out and this looks like a do-over of lebron's first stay in cleveland, he could totally leave.

that said, i agree with snood that the wiggins-for-love trade is probably on the table all season and that the cavs should probably give wiggins a look before making that trade.

While LeBron wants to win championships, he has already answered his critics by winning 2/4 in Miami. Even if things begin to go bad in Cleveland, I don't see him leaving. The talent will come to Cleveland now.
