Why did Bosh think going back to Dwyane Wade's corpse and the Heat was a better idea than the Houston Rockets?

Money most importantly, but also he has said he really likes Miami as a place to live and for his family/kids to grow up and there were some stories that he didn't want to go to Houston because he's from Texas and has tried to distant himself from some not so great family members there and didn't want to be near them (I want to say Zach Lowe talked about that on a Simmons podcast during NBA FA over the summer).

According to sources for the Wall Street Journal, the NBA has signed a pact with Disney (ESPN's parent) to launch a new streaming service that doesn't demand a cable or satellite subscription -- a big deal for ESPN, which still makes most of its money from paid TV. Just how it differs from the NBA's own League Pass isn't clear, although both are focused on live regular season games. In other words, you'll still have to fire up an old-fashioned TV to watch the playoffs in real-time. Just when it arrives isn't clear, although you may not have to wait long for an announcement. If the tipsters are accurate, the NBA will announce its partnership as early as Monday.

Durant broke his foot and Beal did something to his wrist, both need surgery and are out for 6-8 weeks

Good thing they didn't risk injury and play for Team USA.

Heard that Durant's injury is possibly career ending and minimum 10-12 weeks out of action. I hope Nike has Durant insurance.

wut

Seemed like a totally normal response.

Thunder general manager Sam Presti said no specific incident caused the injury; it happened over time. Durant has not been given an official timetable, but will likely miss six to eight weeks, based on the typical recovery time for an injury of this nature.

"From what I've been told, a Jones fracture is the most common surgical procedure performed on NBA players as of late," Presti said. "It has happened enough so that there is enough of a body of work to look at an average recovery time."
