Either way, the team that comes out of the West should be a heavy favorite to win the Cup.

I understand that hesitation, but you also have to believe that Chicago is good enough to survive "revenge". And they are.

 

But anything can happen. So, like you, not really sure which is best for who to want as an opponent in the WCF.

 

 

ETA: I just find it hard to root for ANA because no matter LAK's motivation for a series vs the Blackhawks; home ice is a big advantage in itself. Especially after getting extra rest.

 

ETAem: But if Hiller is hurting in the next round, still; hard to pass up a chance against inferior(?) netminders, re: ANA.

Hiller is done. Boudreau is over him. It's Gibson all the way unless the other guy (blanking on name -- Anderson?) gets healthy and Gibson falters. I have to think the rookie is in over his head and can be overpowered but who knows.

Gotta root for LA because of home ice. Hawks can beat both teams though. Let's hope for 5 overtimes tomorrow. Also have to think Montreal will be in the SCF. Lots of pressure will be on them to win the cup for Canada without a cup winner since 1993. I think the WCF winner will win the cup.
